TABERNASH

We’ll stay at the Devil’s Thumb Ranch, one of Colorado’s top resorts according to Condé Nast, Wine Spectator, and Outdoor Magazine. We’ll get there early so you can get a horse from the stables, fish one of Orvis’ top spots in the Rockies, drop into copper soaking tubs or try some paddle board yoga. There’s no limit to the activities here.

ASPEN

After two of the best mountain passes in Colorado and a stopover in historic Georgetown, we’ll roll into Aspen in time to catch a classical concert at the world-famous Aspen Music Fest, see the latest exhibit at the Aspen Art Museum, or browse the many shops and cafés. We’ll stay at the Bauhaus designed Aspen Meadows which is in walking distance of this and much more.

CRESTED BUTTE

After Aspen, we’ll open it up on what could be the best day of driving. After long sweeping rollers with lots of elevation change taking us from pine covered mountains down into desert and back, we’ll end up in Crested Butte, perhaps the last great small independent ski town in Colorado. From hikes through kaleidoscopic fields of wildflowers to some of the best mountain biking in the world this is a place to get outside in a small funky town.

PIKES PEAK

After a shorter but no less stunning pass down out of the mountains we’ll head to the famed gold-rush era Cliff House hotel in Manitou Springs. Built in 1873, and close by the famed “Garden of the Gods” the Cliff House has been a favorite vacation spot of guests like Theodore Roosevelt, P.T. Barnum, Thomas Edison, and Clark Gable. Take time to visit one of the famopus nearby mineral springs or hop back in the car and taker a drive up the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb route. We’ll all be back in time for a memorable finale feast and a good nights rest on the last evening of the tour.
